Local and regional artists, crafters and makers are invited to rent a table and display their products for sale. The event will be heavily advertised Show More...in print media and online via various social media platforms. Artists will have live demonstrations of work. Food will be available for sale. We have 6 " x 3 " wide metal display screens available to rent to participating artists. These screens come in a set of 2 and will enable artists to display their work in a safe and attractive manner. Supplies are limited.
Set up will be Friday, March 15 from 12:00 to 7 pm
We will have helpers available, but it is the seller's responsibility to set up. After you sign up, you will be contacted with more detailed information about setup and breakdown.
The cost to rent a table for the day $20 members, $30 non-members

Delaware Valley University will host a special exhibit, celebrating the work of painter Lou Schellenberg. The show entitled, "Contemporary Landscape Paintings: Show More...Rural Pennsylvania," will open Nov. 8 and run through Jan. 31 in the second-floor atrium of the University's Life Sciences Building.
"The University's Arts on Campus initiative is working to enhance the experience for both students and visitors to Delaware Valley University's campus by providing a variety of art exhibits," said DelVal Director of Continuing and Professional Studies Admission Linda Lefevre. "We are pleased to host Lou Schellenberg's show and hope that the campus and community will take advantage of the opportunity to see her work on our campus."
Schellenberg, who lives near Lancaster, Pennsylvania, earned her MFA at the University at Albany. After receiving her MFA, Schellenberg accepted a full-time teaching position in Pennsylvania where she continues to live and paint. She is a founding board member of the Mount Gretna School of Art, an intensive summer painting program.
Schellenberg's art has been exhibited in numerous group and solo shows in galleries, art centers, and museums throughout the U.S. and Canada. She has won many awards including a fellowship from the Massachusetts Artists Foundation, and first place in Pennsylvania's Art of the State exhibit.
Over the many years of looking at, teaching, and creating art, Schellenberg has remained committed to observation as a starting point in drawing and painting. Her work is best described as landscape paintings that include architectural elements. Her paintings reflect a love of rural places, changing seasons, and the human relationship with nature.

Frank Hyder, who splits his time between Philadelphia and Miami, has become known for working across a variety of media. His paintings and sculpture have Show More...been widely exhibited in venues such as the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Art's Museum of American Art, the Carnegie Museum in California, the La Salle Museum of Art in Philadelphia, and the National Museum of Catholic Art and History in New York among others. Hyder has also created several public art works, including three murals through the City of Philadelphia's Mural Arts Program: Hanging Garden of I-95, Honey's Garden, and Bell's Pond.
Hyder's fascination with the public sphere has manifested in a multimedia experience titled The Janis Project. Begun in 2015 and still continuing today, Hyder has created over a dozen large-scale, double-faced inflatable sculptures of heads. Hyder states of The Janis Project that each head, "which at once references Moai of Easter Island, Olmec heads and, the ancient Roman god of new endeavors, at the same time has its roots in street art and inflatable toys...Janis carries a message of equality and good will and dares to step out of the normal world of Art museums or Art Galleries to be among us. Made of resilient nylon and paint, Janis has found a place to make us all consider issues with a smile that often divide us."

The Crossing (Washington Crossing United Methodist Church) will host the eastern Pennsylvania public screenings of "From Liberty to Captivity," a new Show More...documentary film seeking to combat sex trafficking in Pennsylvania. The film will be shown on Friday, Jan. 4, 2019 and Monday, Jan. 21, 2019 at the church.
In January, observances are being held nationwide in an effort to raise awareness and advocacy about Slavery and Human Trafficking Prevention. Admission to both January screenings is free and open to the public. Due to the nature of the topic, only those age 17 and older will be admitted into the film unless accompanied by a parent or caretaker. Free child care for preschool age and younger will also be provided at the screenings.
This award-winning and gripping documentary, produced by Do What's Wright Production Company, was filmed in several counties throughout the state. The two-hour film features interviews with leading state and national officials, experts, victim survivors, an ex-trafficker, and modern-day "freedom fighters" who are working together to rewrite history.
"From Liberty to Captivity" has been critically acclaimed and received numerous awards. Recently, the film received Best Documentary, Best Message and Best Editing Awards from the Top Indie Film Awards Film Festival. Monday, Jan. 21, 2019: This screening will start at 3:00 p.m., followed by a 20-minute panel discussion with local experts that will include representatives from Worthwhile Wear/The Well, The Synergy Project and BCAT.
